The PTA
St Mary’s can boast of having a very pro-active parent teachers association. This has always been the case, and thanks to their involvement over the years, many important projects have come to fruition. Two that spring to mind are the building of the original swimming pool for which funds were collected as early as the 1930s, and the setting up of a tuck shop in the 1960s. Organised by the PTA, the parents continue to labour in the interests of the school.
