The end of the Joint Matriculation Board examination
The matric class of 1992 is the last one to write the Joint Matriculation Board examination, and from 1993 the school writes the Independent Examination Board (IEB) examinations. The number of schools who subscribe to the IEB is far greater than the few that had written the JMB, and St Mary’s can now test itself against a wider constituency. The school fares very well.
