The boarding school is closed
The boarding school is closed in 1997. The numbers have dropped and boarding is no longer a viable option. It is an agonising decision and before it is finally taken, sketch plans are drawn up to see if the headmistress’ house can be converted into a modern home-from-home boarding establishment. The cost turns out to be prohibitive.
