Expansion of the Junior School

The most important development that takes place while Mrs Kathleen Whiford is headmistress of the Junior School (1979 – 1985) is the opening of a pre-grade department. Mrs Clare Rossouw takes over mid-way through 1985. Under her, a new classroom is built and, putting the Junior School ahead of the Senior School in the race for computer literacy, a computer room is opened. Junior School activities become more diversified.
