In addition to the usual clubs: debating, chess, environmental and choir, and some that have come and gone (like the boarders jazz band) and others that have come back again (like the photography club), girls are given more and more opportunities to travel. There is the chance to attend the Grahamstown Festival and a number of St Mary’s girls come in the top rankings of the English Festival writing competition. There are the occasional European tours, although these are by no means annual, and there are some trips away to play hockey against other schools.
