Sports' upward trajectory
In 1977, the 1st hockey team wins the A league, the swimming/diving team places 2nd at inter-high and St Mary’s equestrians are runners-up in the inter-schools’ show jumping championships. Kim Seddon, aged 16, wins the Johannesburg women’s tennis singles title and squash makes its debut when two teams are entered into the league.
