Malay Camp
In 1894, members of the largely Muslim, Malay community, disgusted by what they perceive as depravity around them, (eating pork, for instance, and prostitution), ask Paul Kruger to set aside a location for them. He does so. Malay Camp/Malay Location is later renamed Pageview. In 1948 the area is declared a white area and many of the houses are bulldozed to the ground.
