Congratulations to the St Mary’s U15 water polo team and coaches for their outstanding performance at the Shaun Fuchs Water Polo Tournament. Despite facing formidable opponents throughout the tournament, our team's determination and hard work shone brightly, earning them a well-earned 12th place finish out of 24 of the country's best U15 girls’ teams.

This achievement is a testament to the team's unwavering determination and continuous improvement throughout the season. From the first whistle to the final buzzer, our girls exhibited outstanding water polo skills and an admirable team spirit. They demonstrated their dominance in the pool with victories against Crawford College Lonehill, Hudson Park and Collegiate, while also displaying resilience in thrilling matches with commendable draws against St Peter’s and Durban Girls' College.

We also faced opponents like Herschel, Clarendon and Reddam Bedfordview. Our team showcased remarkable improvement, determination and perseverance. We are incredibly proud of our water polo players for their talent, unwavering commitment to the sport and for surpassing all expectations with their outstanding performance this past weekend!

Over half-term break, our 1st water polo team competed in the Old Petrians Water Polo Tournament which showcased thrilling matches and remarkable performances. Our 1st team’s journey was a roller coaster of victories, narrow losses and heartfelt farewells to our matrics.
Overall, the team finished 10th out of 28 teams from across the country, marking a commendable improvement of two places from the previous year. This achievement reflects their dedication, hard work and continuous efforts to elevate their performance.
