We have had a most successful start to the basketball season!

Our teams put in excellent performances against Holy Rosary, winning three out of the four fixtures and against St Peter’s, winning two out of the four matches. The U15 team lost in extra time and the U16’s lost by one basket only. The 1st team won both of their matches which made us very proud.

We participated in the St Peter’s Festival over the long weekend and really benefited from playing against opposition from outside the province. The matches were demanding, and our girls had to push hard! The experience of playing against such strong teams was of real benefit for our players.

The St Mary’s Summer Shoot Out took place on 29 and 30 September. It was a happy two days for the players, coaches, supporters and for the basketball community at large. Play was of a high standard and the sportsmanship and camaraderie was most heartwarming. Our teams played well. Each match was competitive which bought out the best in our girls! We are proud of the 1st team who ended the tournament with silver medals!
