The Wits integrated experience

In July, five of our Form IV students were invited to participate in the Wits Integrated Experience with students from 50 other schools. They spent a day at Wits University during which they were introduced to a scenario involving an airplane crash and then attended a series of sessions dealing with the scientific, legal, geographic, psychological, ethical and medical aspects of this disaster.
The students were tasked with investigating and establishing the causes of the crash and they returned to Wits on Monday 22 August to present their findings. Our team delivered a superb presentation which incorporated international affairs, physics, geography, dance and a great deal more. This was the first time that St Mary’s has participated in the Wits Integrated Experience and our girls were very impressive indeed.
