The St Mary’s 1st quad competed at the 20th annual Schools’ Boat Race. The St Mary’s crew went into this event as underdogs, attempting to defend the title from 2019.

Boat Race is a unique event which takes place over two days. On day one, crews race a heads race over four kms to determine the ranking and finals

for the following day. The second day of racing is made up of the two boat finals.

This nail-biting race went in favour of the St Mary’s crew. The girls’ single-minded focus allowed the crew to maintain contact with the opposition and

take advantage of the inside corner in the last quarter of the race, securing the 14th gold medal for St Mary’s.

A huge thank you to all our supporters for ensuring the spirit of St Mary’s was felt on the river.

We are very proud of these girls; welcome to the legacy!
