HOPE talks

Kgomotso Christopher, well-known South African actress, was interviewed on her experiences as a St Mary’s student as well as how St Mary’s equipped her for her all of her future endeavours, including her renowned acting.

Ms Christopher spoke about her Senior School experience as a young black South African girl during the 1990s, during the period of the dismantling of the apartheid system and the challenges she went through as a result. She further spoke about how the cultural aspect of the school specifically, benefited her as she went into her acting career.

The interview of Ms Christopher was an enlightening experience for the HOPE committee as well as others, such as myself, who attended the interview. The insight into the journey of a renowned, black actress who came from St Mary’s School was an experience that I, as a Form V student, and many others found captivating and memorable.
