Service trip - Limpopo
During half-term, a team of 25 girls and four teachers travelled to Alma in Limpopo for the annual community service trip. We donated toys, books and clothing to the village shop and enjoyed collaborating with the students of Laërskool Alma on a variety of art-based projects such as tie dyeing and creating sock puppets. We also prepared teaching aids for the school at the request of the Alma teachers and had the chance to bond with the Grade 6 learners over lunch and a fun sports afternoon.
On the final day of the trip, the girls returned to the school and planted trees as a part of the Spekboom Challenge before painting colourful Mathematics-themed murals for the school.
