FORM I Camp

Form I Camp3

On Tuesday 21 January, the Form I girls departed for camp along with the experienced tutors and Bush School expert, Mrs. Bradfield. The camp was superbly facilitated by our service provider, RE-Develop. Each group had no more than 12 individuals and our girls were easily identifiable by their colourful house wristbands.

With amusing group names such as KFC, 7/11 and the Mosquitos, the Form I girls used problem-solving, teamwork and a sense of humour to conquer the creatively titled challenges. Perennial favourites included zip lining, the “sticky” mudstacle course and the potjiekos competition. Clayton and Phelps were judged to be the superior chefs this year with the teachers heaping complimentary adjectives over the display of accomplished culinary skills.

The aim of the camp is to foster a sense of St Mary’s sisterhood. Many girls commented that this was their favourite aspect of camp and it is hoped that the seeds of some lifelong friendships were sown.

Many thanks are extended to Mrs Milasinovich, Ms Mohapi, Mrs Rawlings and Mrs Bradfield who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the camp.
