Basketball

The Covid-19 pandemic played havoc with all co-curricular activities this year and team basketball was no exception.
However, once training sessions were allowed again, these were embraced by committed and enthusiastic girls who made the most of the time allocated to them. The focus was primarily on strength, conditioning and basic skills and, although the girls missed the competition of their usual matches, they certainly benefited from the time on the courts.
Head basketball coach, Emma Ledwaba, supports a charity called UITKOMS - Home for Girls. The basketball girls and staff decided to collect food to donate to the charity and their generosity in supporting UITKOMS was much appreciated.
