Form I Camp

Last week, the Form Is concluded their orientation programme with a four-day team-building exercise at Konka Camp. Spirits were high and the girls participated enthusiastically in all the challenges. Highlights included the much-anticipated mudstacle course and the hotly contested potjie competition. One of the winning groups, the feminist X-Women, used a glug of Coca-Cola as their secret ingredient. Snack time proved to be a treat, with offerings of freshly baked chocolate muffins, trays of tempting biscuit assortments and wedges of cool watermelon. With temperatures soaring to 37 degrees, the monster-sized pool provided welcome relief.

The focus of the activities was on the importance of trust and communication. This enabled disparate groups of girls to become a united Form I cohort. Many thanks go to Mrs Milasinovich, Ms Mohapi, Mrs Wilford and Mrs Rawlings, who accompanied us on camp. The bonding time between each house and tutor was valuable.
