On Saturday night, The Dean Play won the Most Inspirational Performance trophy, Katleho Matumane (Form IV) won Best Supporting Actress and Emma Rogers (Form II) won Best Actress out of 67 productions.
The cast included: Cailin Otto, Deminkha Pillay, Mikateko Phaleng, Emma Rogers, Ntsimedi Gwangwa, Rethabile Ramapulane and Katleho Matumane.
The play, Anna Weiss, directed by Michela Passoni and starring Sophia Wolov and Nandi Shezi, also starred a St Benedict’s actor, Trevor Lynch. Trevor won Best Actor for his performance in this St Mary’s play.
The third St Mary’s play, I Don’t Like Mondays, won Best Musical; this play was directed by Amy Codrington and Megan Rumpelt.
St Mary’s was the only school to be placed in both the Original and the Published nals: this means our productions were in the top four for both sections.
Well done to everyone involved!
