Apple excellence in education

The Visual Arts department had three entries in the finals of the Apple Excellence in Education competition. An awards evening was held at The Venue at Melrose Arch on 26 October.
Sveva Colafranceschi and Neo Matlala placed second in the Curriculum Challenge category for their iBook on African art. Their colourful creation made use of interactive widgets using iBooks Author. Ruby Bailey and Candice Shepstone won the Artistic Excellence category for their video entitled “The world is our Canvas”. Ruby was also a finalist for her video entitled “Chaotic Capabilities”.
