Reflecting on the recent events in the Senior School, it is evident that remarkable things can occur when a community unites. The St Mary's spirit has shone brightly with commendable achievements across various domains.

Our girls have excelled in sports, demonstrating exceptional prowess at inter-high tennis, inter-high diving, inter-high Premiere and A swimming galas. Their dedication and hard work have borne fruit with remarkable victories, showcasing their talent and commitment to excellence and sportsmanship. A special mention must be made of our rowing team, whose outstanding performance at the SA Schools' Rowing Championships brought great pride to the school.

On the cultural front, we had the honour of hosting the Phoenix Orchestra, which provided an inspiring start to a Wednesday morning. It is often said that classical music has the power to uplift, inspire and enrich our lives. Indeed, the benefits of listening to classical music daily are numerous, from enhancing focus and reducing stress to fostering creativity and promoting a sense of well-being.

The Form II cohort returned from half-term straight into their self-eSTEAM project resulting in a delightful body mapping exhibition following a few days of non-traditional teaching, immersed in lectures and experiences that facilitated their reflection on communicable diseases.

We are proud to host exchange students from France and Germany, emphasising the importance of building relationships with other communities. We hope the exchange girls will carry a piece of the St Mary's ethos home.

As we look ahead to the St Mary's Hockey and U15 Netball Festival and Singing Sistas, I eagerly anticipate a fulfilling end to the term, bolstered by the knowledge that together, as a community, we can achieve greatness.
