Junior Primary art news
The Grade 0s have been learning about the artworks of Claude Monet in their Art lessons. They spent time in the Grade 0 garden observing and drawing the bridge, and later painted their artworks using Monet’s Impressionist style of painting.
The Grade 1s began the term looking at the artworks of Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. Using these artworks as inspiration, the girls
drew contour line drawings of each other. The trick was, they had to avoid lifting their hands to create a continuous line. They were
also not allowed to look down at their paper. The result was an array of vibrant artworks and many giggles.
