From 11 to 15 December 2022, Tyla Bredin, Olivia Coetzer, Isabella Crawford and Mia Diana competed in National Age groups (NAG). NAG is a prestigious event and divers from various provinces compete annually for their diving clubs.

NAG has specific requirements and gives the divers an opportunity to compete on a 1m springboard, 3m springboard, platform and in synchronized diving. The criteria for the event are stringent: the divers spent many hours training rigorously and learning a variety of dives from different heights.

All the divers did exceptionally well and produced some impressive results. I would specifically like to congratulate Olivia Coetzer as she received the overall trophy for the U11 age group, this means that she is ranked the number one U11 diver in the country.

The results of NAG were as follows:
Tyla Bredin competed in the U11 1m competition and came fith.

Olivia Coezter competed in U11. She tied for first place in her 1m competition with Isabella Crawford, first in her 3m competition and first in her platform event. In the synchronized diving event Olivia competed with Isabella Crawford and they achieved first place. Olivia also competed in the U13 synchronized diving event with Mia Diana and she came fourth. Olivia was awarded the overall trophy for U11.

Isabella Crawford competed in U11. She came tie first with Olivia in her 1m event. She came second in her 3m event, and she competed in the synchronized diving event with Olivia Coetzer where the pair came first.

Mia Diana competed in U13. The U13 1m competition was stopped owing to lightning activity and results from the second round were used, Mia came tenth. On 3m, Mia came 3rd and on platform Mia came second by only 0.05 points. Mia came fourth in U13 synchronized diving with her partner Olivia Coetzer. Mia was the runner up for the U13 overall diving trophy, which ranks Mia as the second best diver in South Africa in U13.

Congratulations to all the divers on their impressive results; we wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
