Message from the Chaplain: 25 March 2022

Friday 25 March is set aside in the Christian calendar as a day to commemorate when Mary said yes to God’s call on her life. The story is told in Luke 1:26- 38, and in the traditional Angelus prayer:
The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary:
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou
among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of
our death. Amen.
Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
Hail Mary...
And the Word was made Flesh:
And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary...
In the Senior Primary we interrupted our Lent chapel service and the chamber choir sang “Tell out my soul” as an anthem to mark the occasion. The reflection for the day was based on the importance of greeting everyone we meet, just as the angel Gabriel greeted Mary.
