We have had a busy time in chapel for both the Senior and Junior Schools. We said goodbye to the 2015 matrics at their Valedictory Eucharist and on Tuesday 20 October Bishop Steve baptised two girls and confirmed 22. In addition, four adults were admitted to the Anglican Church.

At the Senior Primary Eucharist, one girl was baptised and admitted to Communion with two others. The girls will certainly remember that service as the little brother of one of the Little Saints pupils was baptised (once we had caught him and held him over the font … we did make friends over cake at tea afterwards!).

It is exciting that we can mark the beginning of our spiritual journeys in this way or confirm them as we continue on that journey. For the matrics it is only the end of their school journey; their spiritual one continues.

We are all at different points on our spiritual journeys but, wherever we are, God is with us and reassures us of His love for us. Paul prayed for the Ephesians (Ephesians 3:16-18)

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…”

May this be our prayer.
