At the start of the term, the Form IV Visual Art students were challenged with the task to create two figure drawings within a constrained amount of time. The first drawing was to be completed in 10 minutes and was to be done in charcoal. This drawing focused mainly on establishing accurate shapes and forms and capturing highlights and shadows.
The second drawing was completed in 30 minutes, in the ink medium, with the choice of adding charcoal to our compositions. With more time came the opportunity to add more detail and depth to our drawings.
Overall, this project was a fun experience and gave us the opportunity to become comfortable with making mistakes and finding ways to fix them.
