The Foundation’s memorandum of incorporation states that the business of the Foundation is “to raise and provide funds and assets for the school solely, such to include the provision of bursaries”.

An imperative of the Foundation, as stated in its Charter, is the establishment of a “permanent endowment of significance to ensure that St Mary’s remains at the pinnacle of academic, cultural and sporting achievement”.

The St Mary’s Foundation is a non-profit company set up in 2007 to achieve the above objectives. It also has public benefit organisation status to issue section 18A tax certificates.
