Contour cakes

The annual Form II Contour cake day took place at the end of the second term. The Form II brief was to construct a 3D island using a given template. Slopes, landforms, a trig beacon, lighthouse, beach and ocean all had to be created from cake, icing and other edible materials. The formal assessment was based on how accurately a group had interpreted the topography. The girls also voted for their favourite groups online using Google Docs and uploaded their photographs and rationale to Google Drive. The highlight of the day was the fashion show as each group, who had dressed according to their chosen theme, paraded down the Queen’s Path. The Eco Warriors were voted as presenting the most creative island while the Stargazers earned the title of the best dressed group. The Game Rangers were firm favourites and earned the group of the day.
