Chess
The junior and senior Chess Clubs have continued to grow throughout the year. Our Club members are coached and game strategies are developed. Practices are scheduled weekly. The Chess club regularly participates in Inter-school league matches. The junior Club participates in one friendly inter-school match per term. St Mary’s hosts monthly chess matches against Vuleka School. The Chess Academy provides interactive Chess sessions. The focus is to promote chess awareness, develop the girls’ thinking skills and to encourage the girls to play Chess for enjoyment. There is no charge for this activity.
