Environmental Camps at Kloofwaters
Kloofwaters, the St Mary's/ St John's Outdoor campus, is situated on farm in the Magaliesberg. It is a unique outdoor facility with spectacular bird-life, majestic kloofs and unspoiled streams - all of which our girls get to enjoy year after year. Here experiential learning takes on a whole new meaning.
The St Mary's Environmental Camps are designed and run by the St Mary's staff in conjunction with a very able and experienced team of Kloofwaters' facilitators. Camps vary from between 3 day, 2 night stays to 4 days, 3 nights.
Personal Challenges-Experiencing the environment - campers are encouraged to challenge their boundaries and overcome fears. Abseiling, rock climbing, hiking are but a few activities awaiting our girls.
Community Service: In gaining so much from the environment, we feel it is our duty and responsibility to give back to the community in which we have shared and gained so many new and wonderful experiences
Without fail, time flies on the environmental camps. At the end of every busy stay, staff and girls know that the fun is over for now and that next year's camps are only 365 days away.
