PASTORAL CARE
We want our girls to be happy and to flourish at our School. This is the focus of staff and the leadership body.

The Junior School has a Buddy Group system from Grades 4 to 7 which allows the girls both social and spiritual interaction. Class teachers meet on a regular basis with the Head, Deputy Heads, Therapists and Specialist teachers to discuss and design strategies for children who need support in different areas. The girls have weekly Divinity and Life Orientation lessons. As part of the Life Orientation programme we work with the counsellors of the Open Door to run courses with the girls which deal with various topics that are relevant to their ages.

In the Senior School, to assist our girls in adapting to their new environment, we have Senior girls who pair with the new girls to assist their transition. These mentors will guide and provide support during their Forms I and II years (Grades 8 and 9). The orientation programme is carefully designed to familiarise new girls with the campus and to assist them in integrating into the school system and making friends. There are Peer Counsellors who are trained to provide confidential support to the girls.

To care for our girls, we have qualified Educational Psychologists, Remedial Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Physiotherapists on campus. Our support team provides guidance and assistance at all levels in the School. The counsellors work very closely with the girls, parents and staff to ensure that any problems encountered can be addressed professionally and confidentially.
